Background

Gyimah graduated with BSc. Chemistry at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana and continued with his master’s degree in Instrumental Analytical Science (Oilfield Chemicals) at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. During his master’s degree he was sent to Germany on Erasmus student exchange program to work with Professor Gerd Knupp and Dr. Peter Kusch on “Characterisation of biofuels using Pyrolysis- Gas chromatography Mass Spectrometry”. Gyimah is one of the members of the Translational Chemical Biology Mini-Centre for Doctoral Training working on the topic “Mass spectrometry based metabolic profiling to identify and validate anti-inflammatory metabolites in bio-fluid samples” supervised by Dr. Jim Reynolds (Department of chemistry), Dr. Martin Lindley (School of Sports, Exercise and Health Sciences) and Dr. Mark Platt (Department of chemistry).
